Allan McNish
Awarded the Segrave Trophy twice:
2008 – for exceptional endeavour in motor sport.
2013 – being the first Briton to win the Tourist Trophy, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the FIA World Endurance Championship in the same season.
Allan’s career behind the wheel started in 1981 aged 12, in karts, in his native Dumfries, Scotland and lasted for 32 years, during which he won the Le Man 24-Hours three times – in fact, he has stood proudly on the winner’s podium at Le Mans no fewer than nine times. He’s most closely associated with Audi’s domination of sports-prototype racing, including his three titles in the American Le Mans Series and four victories each in the 12-hour race at Sebring and the Petit Le Mans endurance race at Road Atlanta. He is, unsurprisingly, the Honorary President of the Scottish Motor Racing Club.
