Aston Martin Vantage Volante
Only 140 cars of this model were manufactured by Aston Martin, between 1966 and 1969.
This particular chassis was granted FIA Historic Identity in 1990 and FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens) status in 2017 and it is the holder of multiple awards. Over the years 40 MU has been entered in over 100 competition events and has been raced, rallied, hill-climbed, and sprinted, as well as being entered into a number of concours with success and various class wins; particular highlights include being the first ‘DB6’ to conquer the Wiscombe (in Devon) hill-climb in under 50 seconds, and being awarded a class win at the 2020 Salon Privé concours.
Originally purchased as the family car — and the owner has never been allowed to go alone to buy another one! – as it complied with the ‘necessary brief’ of four seats and a decent-sized boot. As well as being used regularly on the school run, it has been driven on many continental holidays, from southern Italy to the Arctic circle in Sweden. It has been enjoyed by the family for nearly 50 years.
